AMO Scientific 4 Inch / 100 mm Single Wafer Carrier Case is designed for safe storage, handling, and transportation of 4-inch semiconductor wafers, sapphire wafers, silicon wafers, glass wafers, and other delicate circular substrates. Made from polypropylene and suitable for cleanroom applications, the carrier helps protect wafers from scratches, edge damage, particles, and contamination during shipping, inspection, coating, testing, and laboratory storage.
The carrier features a conical edge-support base that minimizes contact with the wafer surface. A spider spring and locking lid securely hold the wafer in place while reducing pressure on the wafer surface.
It is commonly used for:
- Protecting a sample wafer during shipping or storage
- Carrying high-value or fragile wafers
- Sending wafers for inspection, testing, coating, or analysis
- Preventing scratches, edge damage, particles, and contamination
